Yeah...

Today, I tilted my head to the right and thought, I just need to blog.  So what I don't have any funky pictures.  So what I haven't bunjee jumped lately.  I guess I outdid myself so much in the past with blogging that I don't always think things are blog worthy compared to the interesting stuff that has already been posted.

But I must remember that it's the experience that matters most, no matter how big or miniscule.  

Since the last post, I've readjusted back to life in Zambia.  Christmas and New Years here were pretty good, or as good as it can be away from family and old friends.  I actually do have some

 pictures of my time spent.  I walk around everywhere with a camera now.  I had a Peace Corps

 Christmas in Livingstone, where one volunteer humbly opened her home to the whole gang and cooked most of the food for dinner.

My friend Miata, came to visit for two weeks.  We met in Malawi.  Of course we ended up at the Victoria Falls.

Then we got all done up for New Years, can you tell I have on make up?  I never wear make-up. The person on the right is Jennifer Dyson.  Together we represent 28% of the African-American people in Peace Corps Zambia.  Yes, we are 2 of 7 people.  And that is 7 people of at least 160 Peace Corps Volunteers in country.  

  

Work at RAPIDS is slowly chugging along.  The most challenging thing is that we as an organization have to depend on so many other people to push through programs, to implement, to gather information for reports, that you are often found waiting.  I see a light at the end of the tunnel though, so I'm keeping my head up and keeping hope alive.
